Occupational Therapy
Creative Occupational Therapy Services promotes functional skills through the use of meaningful and purposeful activities, in the case of children…through PLAY! We use fun activities and experiences, encouraging children to participate in tasks that will develop the strength, coordination, visual perceptual skills, visual motor skills, cognitive skills, sensory processing and self-esteem needed to successfully function in multiple environments. As a Pediatric Occupational Therapist I help children improve and strengthen the development of fine motor, gross motor, visual motor/visual processing, cognitive, sensory, social and self-care skills. I address the underlying components that hinder children from successfully functioning in their home and school environment.
By engaging in “just right” challenges children are able to feel a sense of accomplishment while making progress in areas of function including but not limited to:
Feeding/Eating
Social and Play skils
Handwriting
Fine Motor Skils
Sensory Processing
Gross motor skills
